With a repertoire ranging from the 17th to the 21st century, Nancy Wilson’ssoloplaying has been called “clear and sweet in tone, refinedin articulation” by Gramophone, “exceptionally stylish” byTheEdinburgh Scotsman and “expert” by the New York Times. With over 50 recordingsto her credit, Ms. Wilsonis known asa foundingmember of many of American’s pioneering period instrument ensembles, performingas concertmaster andsoloist with leading conductors in early music, includingNicholas McGegan and Christopher Hogwood. A devoted pedagogue, she has judged competitions, taught masterclasses internationally and guided many who’ve gone on to careers in music. She is also on the faculty at the Mannes School of Music (The New School University) where she is thedirector of the Mannes Baroque Chamber Players.
