Bio/Description
Andrea DiGiorgio?is a biological anthropologist, primatologist, and conservationist whose research focuses on the diet and nutrition of wild primates. She spent a year living in the rainforest of Borneo studying how orangutans balance their diet and what this means for conservation efforts. Her future work will examine wild nonhuman primate correlates to obesity and Type 2 diabetes, while continuing to investigate the nutritional needs for conservation of orangutans and other primates. In addition, Andrea is interested in horror and its use in conveying social and ecological messages. Her other interests include her rescue Italian greyhound, T.H. Huxley.
