Overview
Dr. Diaz completed residency training at the University of New Mexico and completed her fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Diaz provices outpatient clinical care. The focus of her practice is in complex neuropsychiatric illness, cognitive disorders, and the interface of psychiatry, medical illness.Dr. Diaz is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with subspecialty certification in Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Diaz has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications and presents nationally in the areas of general and geriatric psychiatry. Dr. Diaz is involved in the education of medical studens and psychiatry residents. On a national level, she is involved with the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry, serving on the Teaching and Training Committee and the Scholars Program for trainees.
