Dr. Rausch, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Child and Adolescent Health at Columbia University Medical Center. His clinical interests are in general pediatrics and weight management. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Obesity Medicine. He is a primary care pediatrician at the Broadway Practice. He also serves as the Medical Director of Health for Life West, a comprehensive weight management program for patients at the Broadway Practice.

Research

Dr. Rausch’s research interests focus on the prevention and management of pediatric obesity and its long-term impact on health. He is interested in developing strategies for promoting universal evidence-based lifestyle changes that focus on prevention. He is further interested in the epidemiology of the development of obesity co-morbidities, including insulin resistance and diabetes, fatty liver disease, hypertension and dyslipidemias. He is focused on developing methods to screen for and manage co-morbidities, especially in busy clinical practices and acceptable to families most at risk for health disparities, particularly in a low income, Latino population
