Research

Dr. Gordon's primary research interests?are in the molecular epidemiology and pathogenesis of staphylococcal disease and healthcare-associated infections.? Currently, she is studying ventricular-assist device (VAD, a heart pump) infections and the molecular epidemiology and pathogenesis of Staphylococcus epidermidis, the most common pathogen infecting these devices. ? She is also interested in MRSA and staphylococcal infections affecting high risk populations.

Research Interests

Molecular epidemiology of Staphylococcal colonization and disease
Staphylococcal pathogenesis
