Eli Gottlieb is the author of four novels that have been translated into 13 languages. His first novel,?The Boy Who Went Away?(1998), won the Rome Prize of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Mckitterick Prize of the British Society of Authors. His most recent novel,?Best Boy?(2015), was voted one of the best books of the year by Library Journal and Bookpage and was awarded the Bridge Literary Prize. A former senior editor of?Elle?magazine, his nonfiction has appeared in the?New York Times, Bookforum, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, and the?London Times, among other places.?
