Monica Ferrell is the author of three books, most recently You Darling Thing (Four Way Books, 2018), a finalist for the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Prize and the Believer Book Award in Poetry and selected as a New & Noteworthy title by The New York Times. Her collection of poems Beasts for the Chase (Sarabande Books) was a finalist for the Asian American Writers’ Workshop Prize, and her novel The Answer Is Always Yes (The Dial Press/Random House) was named a Borders Original Voices Selection and one of Booklist’s Top Ten Debut Novels of 2008. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, A Public Space, The New Republic, The Believer, and The New York Review of Books. She is the recipient of a Wallace Stegner fellowship at Stanford University, a Discovery/The Nation prize, and a fellowship from the Civitella Ranieri Foundation.
