Peter Ackerman was a writer and producer on the award winning FX series, The Americans and on the Amazon series, Amazing Stories. He co-wrote the movies, Ice Age, Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and Angry Birds 2. He wrote the off-Broadway play, Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight, which he adapted into a ten-episode series for DirectTV. His adaptation of The Pajama Game, starring Harry Connick Jr., won the Tony Award? for Best Musical Revival on Broadway. His children's book, The Lonely Phone Booth, was selected for the Smithsonian’s 2010 Notable Books for Children and adapted into a musical for the Manhattan Children’s Theater. His other children's books include The Lonely Typewriter and The Screaming Chef. Currently, he is working on a new animated series with John Leguizamo for Comedy Central.
