Ryan Murphy is the Vice President for Production Services and Operations at RWS Entertainment Group where he oversees a team of over sixty individuals in carrying out the daily production operations for the company as well as the design, costume/wardrobe and technical services needs across over 100 separate projects. Previously he worked as a Vice President and Production Manager for Aurora Productions. His recent projects include Broadway productions of Plaza Suite, The Lehman Trilogy, A Christmas Carol, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Book of Mormon; the off-Broadway production of Trevor: The Musical; the national tours of Hadestown and Mean Girls; as well as the NHL's Return to Play and Stanley Cup Finals. Past projects include over sixty national and international tours, over twenty five Broadway productions and multiple regional premiers. Prior to joining Aurora in 2015, Ryan spent nine years at Troika Entertainment as their Production Manager. He holds an MA from the University of Rochester and both a BFA and a BA from Niagara University. He has been a previous guest lecturer at several institutions, has been part of panel discussions for USITT, SeaTrade and has spent time working on projects for Broadway Dreams and Broadway for Biden.
