Biography
B.A., Haverford College (1998), Ph.D., Brandeis (2006). Aaron Ritzenberg is Associate Director of the Undergraduate Writing Program, where he serves as Director of First-Year Writing. His research interests include American literary history, sentimentalism, corporate culture, citizenship, and writing pedagogy. He is the co-author, with Sue Mendelsohn, of?How Scholars Write?(Oxford UP, 2020), a textbook for college level writing. He is the author of?The Sentimental Touch: The Language of Feeling in the Age of Managerialism?(Fordham UP, 2013), which examines the fate of sentimental literary conventions between 1850 and 1940. He has published articles on Harriet Beecher Stowe, Sherwood Anderson, Charles Chesnutt, Epes Sargent, and Michael Chabon.Selected Publications
