Arlene Fiore joined the faculty in 2011 after seven years as a research scientist at the NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory in Princeton, NJ. Fiore’s research addresses two-way interactions between air pollution and the climate system. Her group uses Earth System and other models along with observations (ground, airborne, satellite) to investigate processes that couple tropospheric chemistry and climate, and to interpret trends and variability in trace gases and aerosols with an emphasis on the roles of anthropogenic versus natural emissions, and climate variability and change.
