Pierre Gentine works on the global terrestrial water and carbon cycles and how they are changing with rising greenhouse gas concentrations. Gentine’s lab uses a variety of approaches to approach this question ranging from process resolving fluid dynamics simulations to global climate models and remote sensing as well as machine learning. Gentine is Director of the NSF Science and Technology Center LEAP: Learning the Earth with Artificial intelligence and Physics.
