Biography
Peter Kelemen teaches a popular course on Earth Resources, and advanced courses on igneous & metamorphic processes. He studies chemical and physical processes of fluid-rock reaction, with current research on capture and storage of CO2 via carbon mineralization, weathering of tectonically exposed mantle peridotites, feedback between volume change and cracking in natural and engineered settings, melt transport in the mantle, and formation and evolution of both oceanic and continental crust.
