Mehrose Ahmad was born and raised in Queens, New York. She has been a part of the Barnard community as a student (Class of 2021!), and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. She is so excited to continue working alongside the Barnard community as a Laboratory Technician in the Lopatkin Lab. During her time at Barnard, she worked in the Austin Lab as a student Research Assistant, where she studied the metal binding properties of neuronal protein metallothionein-III. She looks forward to studying antibiotic resistance by working in the Lopatkin Lab.
