Research Description
James Midgley?is professor of the graduate school, Harry and Riva Specht Professor?emeritus (1997-2016) and former dean of the School of Social Welfare (1997-2006).
An authority on international social welfare, Dr. Midgley is regarded as a pioneer in the field?as it relates to social welfare in the developing world. He has published widely in this this field. His current research interests include international social development, social protection and social policy.
