Research Description
Adam Leive is a health economist who uses large administrative datasets to study policy-relevant questions about health insurance and safety net programs. His research seeks to understand consumer behavior in complicated life-cycle decisions that impact economic security, such as health insurance and retirement saving. He has also recently studied the effects of employment incentives in safety net programs on labor market outcomes and program participation. His research has been published in the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics and the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and his B.A. from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. Prior to his doctoral studies, Leive worked at the World Bank and the IMF.?
