Research Description
Edward Frenkel is a professor of mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the winner of the Hermann Weyl Prize in mathematical physics. Frenkel research focuses on various aspects of Symmetry in Mathematics and Physics, particularly in the Langlands Program and Quantum Field Theory. He has published two?research monographs?and over 90 articles in scholarly publications, and he has lectured on his work around the world.?He has also written a book for general audience, Love and Math,?which was a New York Times bestseller and has been translated?into 18?languages.
