Research Description
Amy Rose Deal is an associate professor in the Department of Linguistics.? Her research focuses on linguistic meaning and the structure of words and sentences. She investigates a wide variety of languages with a particular focus on those indigenous to North America. The goals of this work are to form a more complete picture of?the ways in which languages do and do not differ from one another in terms of sentence structure and meaning.?
