Research Description
David Sraer received his B.S. in applied mathematics and economics from école Polytechnique in France in 2001 and his Ph.D. in economics from the Toulouse School of Economics in 2007. He is currently a finance department editor for Management Science, an associate editor for the Journal of Finance, and a research associate at the National?Bureau of?Economic Research. Before coming to Berkeley, he was an assistant professor of economics at Princeton University.?
His research spans corporate finance, macro-finance and behavioral finance. Some of his recent work?focuses on (i)?the effect of distortions in managerial expectation on?firm efficiency (ii)?how digital collateral can increase borrower welfare in new financial technology (iii) how to aggregate findings from natural experiments in general equilibrium.
