Research Description
Anthony Cascardi works on literature and philosophy, aesthetics, and early modern literature, with an emphasis on Spanish, English, and French. He is especially interested in the Spanish Baroque and frequently teaches courses on Cervantes and on aesthetic theory.? Most recently he published Cervantes, Literature, and the Discourse of Politics, and The Cambridge Introduction to Literature and Philosophy.? He is currently completing a book on the Spanish painter, Francisco de Goya and the Art of Critique, and serves as the academic editor for the Cambridge University Press Studies in Literature and Philosophy.
