Research Description
Dan Chatman conducts research on travel behavior and the built environment; residential and workplace location choice; land use and transportation policy making; the connections between public transit, immigration and the economic growth of cities. His research relies heavily on original data collection including surveys, focus groups and interviews.?He holds a master's degree in public policy from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in urban planning from UCLA, and was formerly on the faculty in planning and public policy at Rutgers University.?
