1987年至2002年, 陕西师范大学物理系, 历任讲师、副教授（破格）、教授（破格）、博士生导师、陕西师范大学校学术委员会委员; 副系主任、副院长、西安市第十届、十一届政协委员。2002年获理学博士学位。 2003年至今, 在天津大学理学院任教授、博士生导师。
