2002.12-今南开大学物理学院光子学中心,教授、博导(2003年起)。从事激光材料的发光与激光特性的研究;讲授大学物理、热学、激光物理与技术、光通信原理与技术、光子学讲座课程。其中:2011.2 香港城市大学电子工程系田家炳访问教授2007.12-2008.6 香港城市大学电子工程系高级研究人员,从事金属纳米结构SPP增强发光、光纤技术研究2005.5-2007.2 兼任国家自然科学基金委员会信息科学部光学与光电子学科流动项目主任。2003.12-2004.3莫斯科大学国际激光中心,访问教授。从事稀土材料制备与激光研究2001.1-2002.12 美国亚利桑那大学光学科学中心,博士后。从事稀土材料发光、光纤器件研究1997.12-2000.12南开大学物理学院,副教授,副院长 (1999-2001)。从事凝聚态光学研究1995.11-1997.11南开大学物理系博士后。凝聚态物理专业,从事全固态激光器、固体发光研究

个人简介
主要从事稀土掺杂光学材料(玻璃、粉末、纳米微晶等)的制备、表征、发光与激光方面的研究工作,研究方向包括固体激光技术及其应用、发光与光谱技术、光纤技术、纳米结构增强发光等,主持科研课题约30项,包括科技部国际合作重点项目、国家自然科学基金面上及重点项目。发表论文100多篇,他引八百余次,授权专利八项,曾获宝钢优秀教师奖、军队科技进步一等奖、天津市自然科学二等奖。现任美国光学学会期刊《Applied Optics》编委、《Photonics and Optoelectronics》编委、《大学物理》杂志副主编、《清洗世界》杂志编委、《光电技术应用》杂志编委。教育部高等学校物理基础课程教学指导委员会委员,全国中学生物理竞赛委员会常委,物理奥林匹克中国国家队总教练兼领队,国际中学生物理竞赛委员会委员。国际青年物理竞赛(IYPT)独立裁判,中国大学生物理学术竞赛 (CUPT)裁判长。中国仪器仪表学会光机电技术与系统集成分会常务理事,天津市激光技术学会副理事长,天津市物理学会常务理事兼秘书长,“固体激光技术”国家级重点实验室学术委员会委员,国家自然科学基金委员会信息科学部专家咨询委员会学术秘书。入选教育部 “优秀青年教师资助计划”,教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”,天津市131人才第一层次。
