个人简介: Hao Zhang received his PhD degree in Optics from the Institute of Modern Optics, Nankai University (IMONK), in 2005. His PhD research project involved optical fiber amplifiers, optical fiber lasers, and their applications in optical fiber communications. After PhD graduation, he carried out research at the same university as a lecturer. Following the one-year postdoctoral research supported by the UK/China Scholarships for Excellency program at the Imperial College London, UK, in 2007 where he worked on fluorescence imaging using microstructured-optical-fiber-based supercontinuum light source, he came back to Nankai University. Since 2010, he has been an associate professor at the IMONK. His current research interests are concerned with acousto-optic interaction in optical fibers, whispering gallery modes in microstructured optical fibers, fiber-laser-based photonic sensors, fiber grating sensors, and novel microfiber components. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles on these topics and contributed to over 20 related conferences.
