1. 骨软骨疾病病因、发病机制与防治研究；
2. 膳食营养素对骨软骨疾病关节损害的保护作用研究；
3. 外泌体在骨软骨疾病治疗中的作用研究
参加国内外会议：
参加国际、国内学术会议9次，分别在2013年、2016年、2019年国际硒研讨会（英文报告），2018年第二届“一带一路”全球健康国际研讨会（英文报告），2018年中韩政府双边合作项目交流会议（英文报告）与第九次全国地方病学术会议进行大会报告。
主持及参与基金：
主持国家自然科学基金青年项目、中国博士后科学基金面上项目，陕西省自然科学基金青年项目、陕西省博士后项目、丝绸之路大学联盟项目和校基本科研业务费等7项，参与4项国家自然科学基金项目和国家重点研发计划项目，其中担任“大骨节病硒代谢系统与硒蛋白的分子功能研究”政府间科技合作-中韩合作项目分题负责人。
科研成果与代表性论著：
目前已发表SCI论文30余篇，其中第一作者7篇，共同第一作者17篇。参与编写学术论著和教材3部，一部为英国皇家社会化学出版社（Royal Society of Chemistry, RSC）出版的《Selenium》专著中“硒与大骨节病”章节内容，一部为人民卫生出版社出版的《Endemic Disease in China》专著中“大骨节病”章节内容。
