科学研究

相关研究成果发表论文20余篇,得到了同行的认可。先后主持和参与国家自然科学基金项目、国家863计划项目、中国博士后科学基金面上项目等10余项(主持5项),相关成果申请国家发明专利26项,转让1项。
辅导3门和主讲11门本科生课程,指导2个国创项目,16名本科毕业设计,12名硕士生,担任1届班主任,参与2项省级教改项目,获省级教学奖1项。
目前为中国计算机学会、IEEE、AAPM会员,并受邀担任《IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing》、《IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems》、《Pattern Recognition》、《IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics Systems》、《自动化学报》、《计算机学报》等30个期刊评审人,先后审稿60余次,被IEEE GRSL评委优秀审稿人,被《计算机工程与应用》和《计算机科学与探索》聘为审稿专家。
主持的科研方向:
(1)智能优化算法
对多种启发式优化算法和聚类算法进行研究,成功引入了多种不同的机理,包括正交实验设计、免疫调节算子、最优参考排序、区域增长、异质特征集成等,有效的提高了算法的准确性和运行效率。相比于当前的最优算法,所提算法具有搜索准确率高、对噪声鲁棒性强、和收敛速度快的特点。这些工作可以利用多种异质信息,并且同时处理多目标优化。
(2)图像分割
从特征提取到算法设计,系统的对SAR图像分割进行研究,对分割的本质问题进行分析,并首次尝试研究基于异质特征集成的无监督SAR图像分割方法。该工作致力于从图像中提取更多的信息,有效集成异质特征,准确计算目标之间的相似性,并设计出性能更优的分割算法。与当前最先进的算法相比,所提算法具有分割精度高,对斑点噪声的鲁棒性强,并且运行速度快的特点,这为进一步SAR系统的发展和应用提供了极大的帮助。
(3)计算机视觉及其应用
探索了各种特征提取方法,以准确、完整描述图像中的目标,设计了多种异质特征集成策略,包括上下文机制,水平集模型,稀疏表示和跨子空间模型,以解决不同计算机视觉任务。应用场景包括SAR图像分割,X射线脉冲星导航,跑道末端安全区域中的飞机姿态估计,自然场景文本检测,车辆定位方法和空间姿态测量。该工作丰富了计算机视觉中多种异质特征提取和集成的研究和理论,并从技术的角度为许多视觉系统提供了可行的解决方案。
(4)视觉测量
设计发明了一种主动视觉测量系统(AVS),对大尺度空间目标的位置和姿态进行测量。该工作从硬件平台到软件系统,全面的提高测量的精度和效率,包括移动显示终端、激光准直仪、目标靶板、接口设备、转换设备、三自由度支架、以及测量软件,产生了许多先进的发明专利,已在工业领域中得到广泛使用。

Research
Research Direction
1. Optimization Algorithms
We explore different mechanisms to improve the ability of optimization algorithms. Our work has been devoted to improve algorithm’s search ability, to avoid the algorithm’s premature convergence, to speed up algorithm’s running speed, to enhance the algorithm’s ability of using multiple heterogeneous information, and to improve algorithm’s ability of multiobjective optimization.
2. Image Segmentation
We investigate SAR image segmentation from the feature extraction to the algorithm design, and propose many SAR image segmentation algorithms.Our work has been devoted to extract more information, to effectively integrate heterogeneous features, to accurately measure the objects’ similarity, and to design efficient segmentation algorithms.
3. Computer Vision and Application
We explore different feature extraction methods to accurately and completely describe the objects in images. We pioneer many mechanisms, such as context, level set model, sparse representation and cross-subspace model, to effectively fuse these heterogeneous features, which are further integrated in algorithms to solve computer vision tasks and improve automatic ability in real word.
4. Vision Measurements
We invented an active-visual system (AVS) for large-scale position and attitude measurement. Our work is devoted to improve the measurement accuracy and efficiency from hardware platform to software system, including the mobile display terminal, the laser borescope, the target board, the interface device, the conversion device, the three-degree-of-freedom support, and the algorithms in the measurement software, which resulte in many advanced inventions.

10/2004-06/2005 Clonal Selection Algorithm with Immunologic Regulation for Function Optimization
Designed four immunologic regulation operators(IRO) inspired by immune regulation mechanism of biology immune system.
Put forward a Immunologic Regulation Clonal Selection Algorithm (IRCSA) to introduce the IROs to the typical Clonal Selection Operation algorithm.
09/2009-08/2010 Colonal Selection Algorithm based on Orthogonal Experiment Design for Function Optimization
Presented a novel colonal selection operation named as Colnal Selection Operation based on Orthogonal Experiment Design(CSO-OED)
Designed two algorithms: CSO+CSO-OED(I) and CSO+CSO-OED(II) to combined CSO-OED with the typical Clonal Selection Operation.
06/2013-12/2014 A Context based Hierarchical Unequally Merging for SAR Image Segmentation
Combined the top-down fashion and bottom-up fashion.
Proposed three rules based on Gestalt laws serving as top-down constraints to represent context.
Combined multiple features as bottom-up forces to locally describe SAR images.
Proposed a hierarchical unequally merging algorithm including two stages to merge superpixels.
05/2015-12/2015 A Fuzzy Clustering based on Independent Subspace Iterative Optimization (FCISIO)
Designed a novel similarity measure using hierarchical ensemble to integrate the features of different properties.
Proposed a spatial neighbourhood term with preferences to accurately compute the contextual relationship between superpixels.
Proposed a subspace independent iterative optimization algorithm to combine the gradient-descent-direction search and the heuristic search.
07/2015-02/2016 A Context based Unsupervised Hierarchical Iterative Algorithm
Combined the advantages of the cluster based segmentation algorithms and region growing based segmentation algorithms.
Proposed a modified fuzzy c-means algorithm to analyze the appearance-based features of superpixels.
Proposed a region iterative growing to merge the similar superpixels based on contextual analysis in space domain.
These two iterative sub-algorithms exchanged information and realized an natural and effective way to use different kinds of features.
08/2015-06/2016 SAR Image Two-stage Segmentation with Multi-feature Ensemble (CRIM-FCHO)
Extracted multiple heterogeneous features to accurately describe the objects in SAR images.
Integrated these features respectively in the feature level and the similarity level to avoid the mutual influences between different kinds of features.
Proposed a two-stage algorithm consisting of a coarse merging stage and a fine classification stage.
Designed a global halt index (HI) to compute the global consistency in homogeneity of the segmentation.
09/2016-08/2017 Adaptive Contour based Variational Level Set Model for Multiple Target Detection in Complex Background
Combined inter-frame difference with K-means clustering algorithm to obtain multiple initialization curves.
Designed a morphology method to reduce the noise and estimated the position and the size of the moving target in complex background.
Extended the variational level set model without re-initialization from single target to multiple target detection.
10/2019-03/2020 Two-Step Subspace Mapping Based Diaphragm Displacement Prediction by Markerless Abdominal Surface Measurement
Incorporated 3D image segmentation to accurately measure the displacement of the diaphragm and the abdominal surface without markers
Proposed a two-step mapping algorithm (TSSM), which constructed eigenspaces and make a mapping in high-dimension subspace, to solve the cross-domain prediction problem.
Extended the linear model TSSM to kernel TSSM in order to investigate the non-linear between the cross-domain data.
