岳明，男，新疆喀什人，博士，教授，博士生导师。现任陕西省植物学会理事长、陕西省生态学会副理事长、陕西省毒理学会副理事长、陕西省西安植物园主任、《植物生态学报》编委、中国植物学会理事。
主要从事植被生态学、全球变化生态学、理论生态学及植物生理生态学等领域的研究，目前集中在秦岭和黄土高原植物群落构建、濒危植物保护生物学、植物功能性状及种间相互作用等几个方向。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目5项，其他各类项目40余项。发表论文220余篇（其中SCI 60余篇），出版专著4部，参编教材2部。
