Research interests
The main objective of my basic research program is the investigation of the mechanisms which direct in vitro and in vivo plant growth and development. Specific aspects of the basic research include: micropropagation, the role of hormones and growth regulators in regulation of plant morphogenesis, and the modulation of plant metabolism in changing climates. projects in my lab include:
1 The Rapid propagation of medicinal plants including Saussurea involucrata Kar. et Kir, Huperzia serrata (Thunb.) Trevis, Huperzia serrata (Thunb.) Trev, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Cistanche deserticola, Rhodiola fastigiata,? Brassica rapa var. turnip, et al. development of novel technologies and products for the ornamental and medicinal plant species and the conservation of unique, rare, and endangered plants.
2 The physiological and biochemical researches of alpine medicinal plants. And application of in vitro culture technologies to the conservation, redistribution, and sustainable use of Plateau medicinal plant specie. We are effort to understand the phenomenon involved in adaptation of high altitude species (Saussurea involucrata Kar. et Kir) to different atmospheric pressures.
