张宏福张宏福教授,硕士生导师,博士生导师,国家有突出贡献专家,享受政府特殊津贴专家,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者,国家自然科学奖一、二等奖获得者,陕西省“百人计划”获得者,1962年生,陕西省山阳县人。1985年毕业于西北大学地质学系,1988年毕业于中国地质大学(北京)岩石矿物地球化学系,1998年毕业于伦敦大学RoyalHolloway学院,获伦敦大学博士学位。2002年获国家杰出青年科学基金,2010年入选陕西省“百人计划”。现任西北大学大陆动力学国家重点实验室常务副主任,中国矿物岩石地球化学学会理事,岩石地球化学学会地幔矿物岩石地球化学专业委员会副主任委员,担任《GeochemicalJournal》、《科学通报》、《岩石学报》等多种学术刊物编委。

研究领域:长期从事大陆岩石圈地幔和下地壳研究,以深源岩石及其捕虏体为对象,探索地幔与地壳、软流圈与岩石圈相互作用的内在机理和外部因素,揭示大陆岩石圈的演化过程。在大陆深部物质和能量交换的内在机理、外部控制因素、非传统稳定同位素等三个方面的研究中取得系统创新性学术成就。
一、创新性提出橄榄岩-熔体相互作用是大陆深部物质和能量交换的内在机理
大陆的演化是固体地球科学根本性的重大科学问题。我国大陆的独特性使其成为研究大陆演化的理想地区。如我国东部,显生宙强烈的岩浆活动、岩石圈的巨厚减薄、甚至含能源盆地的形成都是壳幔物质交换的结果,突显壳幔物质交换在大陆演化中的重要性。然而,引起如此强烈壳幔物质交换的深层原因一直是困扰着地球科学家们的难题。通过对深源岩石及其捕虏体的跨时代跨区域对比研究,即以克拉通破坏为突破口,对比全球,创新性提出并系统论证了橄榄岩-熔体相互作用是大陆深部物质和能量交换的内在机理,并具有全球普适性。
1)充分认识到华北中生代岩石圈演化的重要性,率先开展了华北中生代含幔源捕虏体的火山岩研究,并通过对比不同地区幔源岩石Sr-Nd-Pb同位素特征发现中生代岩石圈地幔存在高度化学不均一性和时空演化规律。
2)地幔橄榄岩的Sr-Nd和Re-Os同位素系统测定揭示华北岩石圈地幔显生宙以来经历了两次重大转变,即从古生代典型克拉通型地幔转变为中生代高度不均一的富集型地幔,再转变为新生代同位素亏损的“大洋型”地幔。
3)精细的岩石学研究发现环带状地幔捕虏晶、橄榄岩、堆晶辉石岩、特别是二辉橄榄岩→富Fe和Ca二辉橄榄岩→极低Mg橄辉岩连续变化的一整套岩石皆是橄榄岩-熔体反应的产物,从岩石学上直接证明了橄榄岩-熔体相互作用的确是导致大陆深部物质和能量交换的内在机制。
4)将华北与全球克拉通的2100余件样品系统对比证明橄榄岩-熔体相互作用在全球大陆岩石圈地幔中普遍存在。但不同地区相互作用程度有所差异:当熔/岩比较小时仅造成矿物微量元素富集和氧同位素不平衡,其克拉通属性尚存;但熔/岩比较大时,能造成橄榄岩主量元素和Re-Os同位素的变化,其克拉通属性会被掩盖,甚至全部丢失。
美国著名科学家Kelemen教授认为罕见的交代现象的发现为大陆岩石圈存在交代成因的方辉橄榄岩提供了明确的岩石学证据。氧同位素成果被Eiler教授编著的《稳定同位素》书中大段引用;发现的18O优先进入熔体的结论被Williams教授认为与热力学预测的结果完全一致。
二、系统论证了克拉通周边板块的俯冲和碰撞作用造成的熔/流体活动是克拉通深部物质和能量交换的一级外部控制因素。
大陆是由稳定的克拉通和相对活动的造山带构成的。大规模熔体活动造成的岩石圈组成和性质的变化是稳定克拉通能够被破坏的根本原因。问题是熔体哪来的、什么原因引起的?以岩石学记录的构造事件为切入点,发现克拉通的破坏与周边造山带的形成和演化密切相关,率先提出并论证了克拉通周边板块的俯冲和碰撞作用造成的熔/流体活动是克拉通深部物质和能量交换的一级外部控制因素。
1)下地壳捕虏体集成研究发现华北太古代下地壳普遍遭受过多期构造热事件的影响,表现为太古代锆石的边缘分别具有460、315、220、120、46Ma年龄峰,这与华北周边造山带构造事件的时间序列完全一致。而且,显生宙锆石具有明显不同于核部的Hf同位素组成,证明克拉通内部演化与其周缘造山带存在密切联系。
2)基于华北南缘中生代II型富集地幔的发现和北缘典型高镁安山岩研究,首先提出了板块俯冲碰撞引起岩石圈破坏的动力学模型:俯冲的大陆/洋壳物质熔融形成的富硅熔体向上迁移并与橄榄岩反应形成富集的岩石圈地幔;造山后岩石圈的伸展以及区域热异常的升高导致地幔减压熔融;俯冲引起的软流圈熔体上侵进一步导致岩石圈向“大洋型”地幔转变。
3)发现全球古老克拉通周缘造山带的持续活动引起的大规模熔体上侵是克拉通破坏的关键,如我国华北和美国西部Wyoming克拉通;当熔体活动较弱时难以造成克拉通实质性破坏,如南非Kaapvaal和加拿大Slave克拉通。大量的软流圈熔体与古老方辉橄榄岩反应能够形成相对年轻的二辉橄榄岩的事实改变了人们对地幔交代作用的传统认识。
著名地球化学家李曙光教授和澳大利亚地质学家Williams教授认为该岩石圈地幔富集过程在全球普遍存在;著名地球化学家郑永飞教授认为该成果对克拉通破坏的深入研究提供了新的思路;著名构造学家Windley教授评价橄榄岩-熔体相互作用是认识古老克拉通能够被破坏的关键。
三、开拓引领非传统稳定同位素(Li-Fe-Mg)的地幔地球化学研究
非传统稳定同位素是近年来新兴的同位素示踪方法,在矿床学和地表过程中应用广泛。张宏福及其研究生开拓性地将其应用于大陆岩石圈演化研究中,并证明在示踪熔体组成和来源方面效果明显。开拓并引领了大陆研究的新领域。
1)原位Li含量和Li同位素研究发现地幔存在明显的Li同位素不平衡,并具有低?7Li端元,该发现动摇了地幔具有均一Li同位素组成的传统认识。同时发现不同熔体交代造成的Li同位素分馏趋势不同。地幔中Fe和Mg是主量元素,一般过程很难造成其同位素变化,但Fe和Mg同位素探索研究发现地幔中的确存在Fe和Mg同位素不平衡,而且轻的Fe和Mg同位素仅出现在受碳酸岩熔体强烈改造的样品中。从而使Li-Fe-Mg同位素成为有效的地幔交代作用示踪剂。
2)发现交代作用所驱动的元素扩散是导致Li同位素分馏的主要机理;而交代作用引起的氧化还原状态的变化是导致Fe同位素分馏的主要机理;深化了对Li和Fe同位素分馏理论的认识。
2007年GCA文章因是国际上首批研究地幔橄榄岩Li同位素的文章,被该刊副编辑Mysen教授极力推荐;2009年EPSL文章被评为“2010年中国百篇最具影响国际学术论文”。培养了年青的Li、Fe、Mg同位素研究人员。
上述成果共发表论文151篇,其中SCI收录121篇(第一作者36篇,第二作者61篇),被SCI他引1918次;CSCD收录113篇,被他引1398次,为ISIGeosciences的Top1%高引用率作者(第167名)。3篇被Elsevier评为“MostCitedPaper”,5篇第一作者论文为ISI全球Geosciencestop1%论文。4篇代表性文章引用以“岩石圈地幔”为主题在WebofKnowledge全球所有数据库检索的2万多篇文章中排名在前75位(其中2002CMP文章第4位);主持国际学术会议1次,特邀编辑组织国际期刊专辑2部。这些成果发表SCI论文39篇(第一作者16篇),被SCI论文他引865次。
与香港大学地球科学系、英国伦敦大学地质系、美国哥伦比亚大学Lamont-DohertyEarthObservatory、美国卡内基研究所、日本冈山大学固体地球科学中心、国南锡岩石地球化学国家研究中心(CRPG-CNRS)保持长期合作研究。
