开幕式上李思进副校长致欢迎辞，对来我校参加研讨会的海内外学者以及兄弟院校与会师生表示热烈欢迎。他充分肯定了公共卫生学院和卫生统计学教研室近年来在科研、教学、人才培养和梯队建设等诸多方面做出的突出成绩，希望通过本次学术研讨进一步推动学科发展。开幕式由科学技术处张岩波处长主持。
6月23日为短课培训。上午由北卡大学夏洛特分校李少玉博士作了题为“Analysis of DNA methylation data: Epigenome-wide association Studies”的讲座。下午由密歇根州立大学刘旭博士和我校罗天娥副教授分别作了题为“High-dimensional variable selection with applications in genetic data analysis”和“Statistical methods for genetic association studies with Plink software demonstration”的专题讲座。专题讲座分别由张岩波教授和仇丽霞教授主持。
6月24日为专题报告。专题报告内容丰富，精彩纷呈，包括邬荣领教授的“How eQTLs mediate multitissue gene regulation in humans: Insight from a computational model”，Jurg Ott博士的“Genome-wide linkage analysis with sequence data - an example of a large family with faceblindness”，李启寨研究员的“Incorporating Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium Law to Enhance the Association Strength for Ordinal Trait Genetic Study”，李少玉博士的“The correction of length bias in gene set enrichment analysis for DNA methylation data”，袁中尚博士的“A powerful score-based test statistic for detecting gene-gene co-association”，薛付忠教授的“Statistical network comparison in systems epidemiology”，张灏教授的“Interaction Selection for High-Dimensional Data”，刘旭博士的“Statistical identification of gene-gene interactions triggered by nonlinear environmental modulation”，李毅博士的“Homozygosity mapping for quantitative traits”，曾平博士的“Rare variants association analysis via likelihood-based statistical learning”和崔跃华教授的“Integrative genetical genomics analysis incorporating network structures”。专题报告先后由崔跃华教授、薛付忠教授、余红梅教授和王彤教授主持。
本次研讨会吸引了我校各院系以及来自山东大学、河北医科大学、上海市计划生育科学研究所、重庆医科大学、天津医科大学、广州中医药大学、广东医学院、徐州医学院等高校100余名师生参加。专家学者们的的学术报告让众多师生受益匪浅，讨论发言积极踊跃，大家充分利用此次难得的机会与各位专家进行面对面交流学习。
