Since2000,whileIstartedmymasterproject,myresearchhasconcentratedonplasmaapplicationsinvolvingplasmasterilization,plasmamodifyingpolyethylene,plasmainteractingwithstarchsolutionandsoon.Since2006,IgotapositionasalectureintheChinaUniversityofPetroleum,Ihavefocusedontheplasmainteractingwiththehydrocarbons,especiallyheavyoil.Toexplorethemechanism,recently,severalsimplehydrocarbonssuchasmethane,gasolineanddieseloilareselectedasresearchobjects.

DiscoveredtheoilcolloidalsystemwasdestroyedwhiletheheavyoilwastreatedbyairDBDplasmaandH2wasaccountforalargeproportionofgasproduction.Astheprincipalinvestigator(PI)presidedoverfourfundprojects,oneofthesupportedbyNationalNaturalScienceFoundationofChina(Title:Studyonnon-equilibriumplasmareducingviscosityofsuperheavyoilatatmosphericpressure,Grant**)
