湖北大冶人，主要开展太阳能热利用及分布式能源系统等课题研究工作，目前主持承担了国家自然科学基金项目1项，中国博士后自然科学基金等省部级项目3项，并参与了973、863和科技支撑等多个国家重要科技攻关项目，获中国科学院优秀博士学位论文奖和中国工程热物理学会吴仲华优秀研究生奖等奖励及称号。
