1980年入山东大学物理系学习，1987年在山大获硕士学位，1994年在德国柏林自由大学获博士学位，1988年起先后在德国工作学习7年多，1997年1月回山大工作，现为山东大学教授、博士生导师，2001年起担任山东大学物理与微电子学院副院长，2003年兼任威海分校应用物理系系主任。研究方向为粒子物理理论和高能核物理理论，参加国际学术会议16次、做国际学术会议报告12次、邀请报告4次，并于1999、2001、2002分别到瑞典Lund大学、意大利国际理论中心等科研合作。承担或完成国家和教育部资助科研项目7项，包括国家“九五”、国家基金委理论物理重大研究计划等，在权威学术期刊与学术会议发表论文50多篇，包括《Phys.Rev.Lett》2篇、《Phys.Rev.D》21篇和应邀为《Inter.J.Mod.Phys.A》撰写的50多页综合评述一篇。这些论文被他引190余次。2001年获教育部中国高校科技自然科学二等奖，2002年获教育部“跨世纪优秀人才资助计划”资助。
