Dr. Zheng earned his BA at Department of English Language and Literature, Liaocheng Normal University, and MA at Department of History, Shaanxi Normal University, where he studied the history of Soviet Union. He went in for international studies at Peking University, and completed his doctorate there. In addition, he was a visiting scholar at Queen’s University Canada, and worked as a volunteer at Canadian Mental Health Association Kingston Branch for four months.
His research interests focus on public administration, with a new emphasis on local government. He is a co-author of Civil Systems in China (Shandong University Press, 2005). He teaches Introduction to Taiwan Issue, which is a core curriculum of General Education Program designated by Shandong University as well as Social Work, Public Servant Systems in China.
