1989年在东北林业大学野生动物资源学院生物专业获理学学士学位，1994年和1997年分别在东北林业大学野生动物资源学院野生动物保护与利用专业获农学硕士和农学博士学位，1998年~2000年在中国科学院西北高原生物研究所做博士后研究工作。长期从事野生动物生态及保护的教学和研究工作，课题组重点开展以下方面研究：

以我国犬科动物为主要研究对象，运用分子生态学和保护遗传学的方法，从宏微观两个方面探讨我国濒危野生犬科动物的种群遗传格局、系统地理发生、表型适应进化，揭示野生犬科动物种群现状并在此基础上提出相应的保护策略。

◇谱系生物地理学：通过分析自然种群的地理分布格局和遗传分化，探讨野生动物的进化历史和演化规律；

　　◇保护遗传学：分析环境因子及其变化对野生动物种群遗传结构、遗传多样性、基因流、迁移扩散等方面的影响，并提出相应的保护策略；

◇进化生态学：从宏观和微观两方面，探讨犬科动物行为和表型特征适应性进化的遗传机制。

教研奖励

先后主持和完成国家自然科学基金项目、国家“948”项目、国家林业局项目和山东省自然科学基金重大项目等省部级以上项目20余项，于2007年获得教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划项目资助(NCET-07-0507)；在国内外学术期刊上发表论文80余篇，其中SCI收录10余篇，出版论著1部；获国家林业局科技进步二等奖1项，山东省科技进步三等奖2项，山东省高校优秀科研成果一等奖1项；指导的硕士论文多篇获得“山东省优秀硕士论文”和“山东省优秀研究生科技创新成果奖”；2007年被评为全国首届教育硕士优秀教学管理工作者，2009年获山东省首届研究生教学成果一等奖，并被评为山东省优秀研究生指导教师，所在的“动物生物学”教学团队于2010年被评为省级教学团队。
