My research mainly focus on biological oceanography and microbial ecology, with specific interest in the microbial food web dynamics, including:
Population and community ecology of plankton, including community structure, biomass, diversity, growth, metabolic activities and physiological status of microbial populations
Trophic interactions within the microbial food web
Impact of climate change and human activity on microbial communities, activities and carbon cycle
