The biographical sketch
Xiao-Ming Zhao obtained his Ph.D. from Daliang University of Technology in 1995. Then, he did postdoctoral research at the University of Florida (UF) and University of Southern California (USC) in the group of Prof G.K.Prakash and Prof G.A.Olah. He is currently a professor in Tongji University at Shanghai. His research group’s interests were recognized by the award of a Thieme Chemistry Journal Award in 2012 and focus on reaction design, asymmetric synthesis and fluorine chemistry.
男,博士,2008年4月 经同济大学全球人才招聘进入同济工作,任教授、博士生导师。
毕业于大连理工大学。1998启留学美国八年。于佛罗里达大学、南加州大学等做博士后、高级副研究员。1995-1998及2004-2006于中国科学院上海有机化学有机所博士后学习与工作,任副研究员(短期在日本 S.I. Murahashi 教授组做访问教授)。归国后的研究受到国际同行关注,发表的文章多次被专业期刊,如:《Synfacts》、《Organic Chemistry Portal》和《ChemViews》积极评价、多篇被选为“亮点和封面文章”,应邀在《Synthesis》(2013, 45, 2051-69) 撰写综述,介绍成果。

个人荣誉与奖励:
2010年入选上海市“浦江人才”。
2012年获得 “Thieme化学期刊奖 《Thieme Chemistry Journal Award 2012》” ,该奖由国际著名期刊《Synlett,SynthesisandSynfacts》评选。
研究方向:
设计和发现新反应,并将其发展为有用的合成方法,用于目标分子 (如药物、功能材料、与天然产物)的合成。有机氟化学包括:氟化新方法、含氟材料等研究。有机材料化学如:液晶、非线性材料、荧光和磷光材料等。
科研: 主持多项国家“自然科学基金项目”、上海市“浦江人才项目”、上海市“教委重大创新项目”、同济大学创新项目等、以及与企业合作项目。
教学: 讲授本科生和研究生的双语《有机化学》、《金属有机化学》、《现代有机合成》等课程。
