Dr.LijoinedthefacultyoftheSchoolofLifeSciencesandTechnologyin2012.LireceivedherPh.D.degreeinBiophysicsfromHuazhongUniversityofScienceandTechnology.PriortojoiningTongjiUniversity,Licompletedherpost-doctoraltrainingattheUniversityofMichigan,whereshewasawardedtheAmericanHeartAssociationPostdoctoralFellowship.
TheLilabcombinesthegeneticmodelorganismC.elegansandmammaliansystemtostudythemechanismsofmechanosensationandpain,andusesamultidisciplinaryapproachofmoleculargenetics,functionalimaging,electrophysiology,optogeneticsandbehavioralanalysis.
