本课程以系统工程作为现代管理的基本理念，从一个个实例出发，力求通俗、准确地阐述定量分析方法的基本概念、特点，它的调查、统计、分析和检验方法，以及如何具体将定量分析方法运用于预测、决策等各类管理活动中。 定量分析方法中需要用到许多数学模型和计算公式，本课程考虑到MPA学员的实际情况，着重介绍定量分析的适用背景和具体算法，而不是强调复杂的推演与证明，从而既体现了定量分析的特点和要求，又便于学员的理解和掌握，学员可以根据管理实践中获得的数据、资料，选用相应的数学模型、算法和相应的计算机EXCEL函数，获得相应的量化分析结果。 煎言之，本课程意在使学员掌握科学的社会调查方法，并应用学到的有关统计分析和计算机知识（主要是OFFICE2000）对调查的资料进行量化分析，并得出科学的结论，为实际工作中的分析、预测、决策等提供科学的依据。

This course , which is based on practical cases , regards Systems Engineering as the fundamental concept of modern management ,try to expound the basic concept of Quantitative Analysis survey statistics and examination and how to put it into various management activities , such as prediction and decision-making. Quantitative Analysis Method requires lots of mathematic models and calculate on formulas .In view of the conditions of the MPA students ,this course will put emphasis on introducing the background and specific algorithm of Quantitative Analysis rather than emphasize the complex deduce and demonstration. So it not only reflects the feature and demand of Quantitative Analysis but also is convenient for understanding and mastering . Students can use the data and material collected from managing practice to get a relevant result . With the suitable mathematic model , specific algorithm and the function in Microsoft Excel. In short , this course is contributed to teach students to use methods of scientific social surveys , statistics analysis and computer knowledge(especially Microsoft Office 2000)to analyse the collected data and material quantitatively and finally get correct results and scientific foundation for analysis prediction and decision-making can be put in practical work.
