课程主要向学生介绍当今投资银行的经济职能，投资银行的基本概念以及投资银行所使用的分析工具等。主要内容包括：1）什么是投资银行的经济职能，投资银行与商业银行的区别；2）投资银行包括哪些部门，每个部门承担何种职能以达成投资银行总体目标；3）投资银行专业人士提供哪些种类的分析服务，得出哪些结论。课程还将讨论投资银行的招聘流程，授课教师将与学生分享其在投资银行的经历等。

This course is designed to introduce students to the economic role of investment banks in the present day, the basic concepts of investment banking and the types of analysis performed by investment banking professionals. Main content includes: 1) What is the economic function of the investment bank and how is it different than a commercial bank? 2) What are the different branches of the investment banking and how does each branch function to achieve the bank's overall objectives? 3) What are the different types of analyses performed by investment banking professionals and what conclusions do they provide?The class will also try to provide insights into the investment banking analyst recruiting process and the instructors will share with students their experiences.
