课程内容简介(英文) Organometallic chemistry, the chemistry on the structures, properties, preparations, and applications of organometallic compounds containing metal-carbon bonds, is one of the most rapidly growing areas of chemical research in the last five decades. With its growth, not only a lot of new concepts and new theories have appeared, but many unexpected compounds and revolutionary methodologies in synthetic chemistry have been made, such as ferrocences, Ziegler-Natta catalysts, and asymmetric syntheses, etc. Those theories and methodologies are fully applied in the synthesis of materials, medicines, and natural products, and play an important role in the studying and exploring some new areas including life science, molelectronics, and so on. By class, discussion, review and presentation in this course, students will learn the fundamental concepts and applications of organometallic chemistry, especially organotransition metal chemistry, and realize its current strategies in research and its future work. It should be helpful to you in understanding mechanisms of reactions, seeking novel catalytic reactions, and doing syntheses by established methods in organometallic chemistry. |
