2008年8月至今任上海交通大学教授、博士生导师,之前任中国科学技术大学大学教授、博士生导师十多年。1993年起获国务院特殊津贴,1994年破格晋升为教授并荣获首届“全国青年科技标兵”称号,1998年获九章数学奖,2004年入选国家教育部新世纪优秀人才计划,2006年获宝钢教育基金会优秀教师奖。

研究生培养与教学简况
自担任博士生导师以来,作为第一或第二导师,培养指导博士后3名(1名博士后获得了中国博士后一等基金),博士研究生和硕博连读研究生18名(12人已获得博士学位,他们获得研究生国家奖学金、中科院院长优秀奖、“求是”优秀研究生奖、"朱李月华"优秀博士生奖、“华为”优秀研究生奖、研究生创新基金等奖励十多项)、硕士研究生10名(6人已毕业,2人赴美攻博)、访问****和进修教师4名;还指导了上海交大及中国科大本科生毕业论文50多篇。
主讲过本科生的《高等数学》、《微积分》、《线性代数》、《矢量分析与场论》、《概率论》、《数学物理方程》、《数学分析》、《泛函分析》,以及研究生的《分析续论》、《数学物理方程》、《应用泛函分析》、《泛函分析(II)》、《非线性泛函分析》、《算子半群理论》、《算子族理论》、《算子微分方程》、 《无限维动力系统的几何理论》等课程。
在中科大任教授期间(出国期间除外),多次主讲了被学校、学生、家长、社会等均寄予教师更高期望的中科大少年班和教改试点班的基础数学课程,以及其它院系的数学课程,共计担任本科生或研究生课程主讲教学任务20多次。在所参加的8次中国科学技术大学全校性的本科教学效果测评中(学生问卷数60份以上), 5次获全校最高得分,1次获全校第二高分(请参见《中国科学技术大学教学简报》第359、375、394、413、435期等)。
2008年8月到上海交通大学任教后,主讲过《数学分析A》、《数学分析E》、《分析续论》、《泛函分析》、《实变函数》及《现代数学选讲》等课程,所负责的《泛函分析》课程已成为上海交通大学的精品课程优质课程 在历次交大本科评教中,均获很高评分(如:99.323分, 名列数学类课程的第1位),2011年荣获上海交通大学优秀教师奖一等奖等奖励。
