I am interested in Parallel Computing, DataIntensive Computing and Computing Education. My research interesting includes: Scalable parallel algorithms for DISCapplications ; Storage and Management of Parallel Data ;Resource management, scheduling and sharingin Data Center ; Education Science for Computer Engineering ; Learn @ Scale .

Graduated with a master degree in computer science from the department of Computer Sciences and Technology of Shanghai Jiaotong Univ. in 1996, worked as a lecturer of Shanghai Jiaotong Univ. between 1997 and 2002, was promoted as an associate professor at August 2002, got doctorate in computer software from Shanghai Jiaotong Univ, at 2004, and worked as a visiting scholar in ICSI(International Computer Science Institute), UC Berkeley at 2005, Qianni Deng has published more than 40 papers and organized several important international conferences during this period. Qianni Deng has presided over, participated in and completed more than 10 national and international cooperative research projects, which include research project funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, ‘ShanghaiGrid’ grand projects funded by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, ‘China Grid’ project funded by Ministry of Education P.R.C., key science and technology research projects funded by National Hi-Tech project (973 project
