章焰生，男，出生于安徽省怀宁县，博士，三级教授，博士生导师，药用植物功能基因研究组组长；历任中国科学院植物种质资源与特色农业重点实验室副主任、中国科学院武汉植物园药用与能源植物研究中心主任；近年来在Nature、Journal of the American Chemical Society、 Plant Journal、 Plant Biotechnology Journal、 Journal of Biological Chemistry、Plant and Cell Physiology等杂志发表SCI研究论文近50篇，被他人引用超过2000多次；已培养博士7名、硕士9名，正在培养博士生2名与硕士生7名；先后主持中科院“****”择优支持项目1项、国家自然科学基金项目5项、科技部重点研发专项课题1项、科技部高技术研究发展计划子课题1项以及公司横向合作项目多项；目前获美国发明专利1项、中国发明专利3项。
