主讲人简介:

Ping Wu is associate professor at the Division of Signals and Systems in Dept. of Engineering Sciences, Uppsala University. He received Ph D degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Xi’an Jiaotong University 1991. Then he worked as a postdoctor in Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering, St. Ingbert, Germany for two years. Since Oct. 1994 he has been with Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. He has worked with EU projects and Swedish national projects, and published more than 70 journal and conference papers.

His current research interests include wireless sensor networks, ultra wideband communications and localization, mobile communications, embedded systems, and signal processing.

讲座摘要:Recent advances in science and technology have made modern networks more powerful and sophisticated than ever. The increasing level of sophistication and automation not only increases the complexity of these networked systems, but also increases the dependencies among components within these systems. As a result network reliability modeling and analysis become more challenging than ever. In this talk I will explain the use of reliability analysis for the purpose of robust and cost-effective network system design, followed by an introduction to several challenging research problems on reliability computing for modern networks, such as storage area networks, body area networks, and wireless sensor networks.

邢留冬教授,美国麻省大学达特茅斯分校教授,2015年度****讲座教授,长期从事复杂系统可靠性建模与分析领域的基础与应用研究;发表期刊论文130余篇包括50余篇IEEE期刊论文,发表会议论文80余篇, 出版专著1部;曾主持多个美国国家科学基金项目,在可靠性工程领域国际顶级学术期刊IEEE Transactions on Reliability 担任副编辑, Reliability Engineering & System Safety担任编委和客座编辑,曾荣获麻省大学达特茅斯分校2010年度优秀学者称号(全校每年仅一人)、 2011年度杰出女性奖章(全校每年仅一人),以及2014年度最佳教师称号(全校每年仅一人)。
