学术经历
曾任1997年台湾联合报系文化基金会研究项目访问学者，2000-2001年美国富布莱特基金会高级访问学者，2005年香港大学新闻与媒体研究中心中国研究项目访问学者，2008-2009年亚洲文化基金（AsianCultureCouncil）奖助项目纽约大学电影研究系访问学者。2010年英国威斯敏斯特大学中国传媒研究中心高级访问学者，国家留学基金委短期博导研究项目。
主要研究兴趣为中国新纪录运动、影视理论、文化研究、传播政治经济学、三农问题等。论文被翻译为英文、法文、德文、日文、韩文等。《纪录中国——当代中国新纪录运动》2006年获第四届中国高校人文社会科学优秀成果二等奖。
