Biography:
Dr. Bowei Zhang was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Prof. Teri Odom's group at Northwestern University before joining theEast China University of Science & Technology (ECUST) in Shanghai in Nov. 2020as a Principal Investigator (PI). He obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees in 2013 and 2016, seperately, from Metallurgy Engineering at Wuhan University of Science & Technology under the supervision of President Prof. Hongwei Ni, and then received Ph.D. degreein Mechanical Engineering ofIowa State University advised byProf. Shan Hu in 2019. He visited Yale University in 2018 and worked together with Prof. Hailiang Wang as a visiting Ph.D. student.
Prof. Zhang works at the intersection of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Chemistry and Physics with interests focused on the Mutimode Sensors and Energy Conversion and Storage. He has been awarded a series of prestigious honors such as the CSC self-funded scholarship and Zaffarano Prize offered by Iowa State and Sigma Xi Association, etc.
研究方向围绕传感与监测及其供能体系(动力工程)开展研究。基础研究及工程应用并重,通过对基础科学规律的探究来服务工程器件的制备及表征过程,以期通过实验及模拟手段实现覆盖原子/分子、微纳米及器件层面的跨尺度研究。

传感与监测:集中在新型光/电化学传感、多模态感知融合、智能化、小型化、无线化等方面。

供能:围绕自供能技术(例如光电转化、风电、压电)及固态电池开展研究。
