个人简介
刘昌胜,男,湖北大冶人,1967年出生于湖北省大冶县。博士、教授、博士生导师。国家****基金获得者;国家重大科学研究计划首席科学家;“新世纪百千****才工程”国家级人选;华东理工大学副校长。
刘昌胜曾任国家自然科学基金委学科评委、国务院学位委员会第六届材料学科评议组成员。
1989年毕业于湖北大学生物学专业,获理学学士学位;1992年毕业于华东理工大学生物化工专业,获工学硕士学位;1996年毕业于华东理工大学化学工程专业,获工学博士学位。
1992年至1993年在华东理工大学生化工程学科,任助教。
1993年至1999年在华东理工大学技物所,历任助教、讲师、副教授、教授,研究室主任、副所长、党支部书记。
1999年至2008年华东理工大学材料科学与工程学院生物材料研究所所长,教授,博士生导师。
2001年至今教育部医用生物材料工程研究中心主任,其中,2005年3月至9月,美国University of Pennsylvania访问教授。
2009年至2016年11月华东理工大学材料科学与工程学院院长。
2015年7月至今华东理工大学副校长。

主要业绩
从事人体硬组织修复材料的研究和开发,以及纳米生物材料的研究工作。作为项目负责人,先后承担了国家“863”项目、国家自然科学基金重点及面上项目、国家重大科学研究计划项目等,将化学反应工程的原理和方法用于人体组织修复材料的可控制备及相关机理研究,开发出一种新型硬组织修复材料——自固化磷酸钙人工骨产品,并于2000年获得国家食品药品监督管理局的准生产注册证。该材料实现了形状任意可塑、人体内自行硬化和好的生物相容性的统一,并在体内诱导新骨形成,解决了长期以来困扰骨科医生和病人的骨缺损修复材料问题。新材料可广泛用于骨科、整形科、脑外科及口腔科等领域。经上海市科技情报所检索,未见与该成果相同的已获注册许可证的同类产品报道。该材料由多种磷酸钙盐组成,用自制的固化液,可调和成糊状,能根据骨缺损部位,任意塑形、充填,最终成份可转化为低结晶度的羟基磷灰石。材料经体外试验和体内长期植人试验,表明材料无毒,无致癌、致畸形活性,与有机体亲和性好,植入后不引起异物反应,具有可降解性,在软组织中无成骨活性,但在骨膜下能引导成骨生长。是生物相容性高、性能好的骨修复材料。各项性能指标达到甚至部分超过国外类似产品的水平。目前已在全国500余家医院广泛使用,取得了非常满意的修复效果。临床医生标明采用该材料进行基础和应用研究发表论文250余篇。
为了进一步提高材料的成骨活性,适应大段骨缺损及再生能力弱的病人的治疗要求,他采用基因工程技术,在原核生物中成功表达出骨形态发生蛋白-2(rhBMP-2),一种促进成骨的活性生长因子。通过攻克重组菌株的发酵和蛋白纯化、精制等过程的系列关键技术,得到高纯度rhBMP-2产品,实现生产稳定,经国外机构检测证实成骨活性高。获美国、中国授权等专利授权。将rhBMP-2用于骨修复材料的活性化修饰,突破了生长因子活性维持和控释等关键难题,制备出具有高成骨活性的骨修复材料。临床研究病例显示出优良的治疗效果,可明显促进骨生成,加速骨愈合。这对大段骨缺损及骨再生能力弱患者的治疗具有重要意义。创新性地提出利用材料与生长因子的相互作用提高生长因子骨诱导活性的新思路,通过类肝素磺化壳聚糖等,能有效提高rhBMP-2诱导成骨分化的能力,并研究了其机理。

科研成果在国内外杂志发表论文250余篇,其中SCI收录论文160余篇。申请发明专利50项,已获授权发明专利33项,包括美国授权专利3项。先后获得2003年度国家科技进步二等奖(第一完成人)、2014年度国家自然科学奖二等奖(第一完成人)等国家及省部级奖励7项。
