1960年6月生，男，籍贯辽宁大连，教授（博士生导师），中共党员，副校长，兼任华东理工大学研究生院院长和资源过程工程研究所所长。1982年毕业于华东化工学院无机化工专业，后获工学硕士、博士学位，曾担任校科技处处长、资源环境学院院长等职务，社会兼职有中国化工学会化肥专业委员会副主任，上海市化学化工学会常务理事、上海市能源研究会常务理事、上海市环境学会理事。
于建国教授主要从事盐湖资源与环境领域的研究工作，先后承担国家“八五、”“九五”“十五”科技攻关项目，获得2001年度上海市科技进步一等奖、上海市优秀产学研工程项目一等奖，国家“九五”科技攻关先进个人、上海市优秀青年教师等荣誉，并获上海市曙光学者、教育部跨世纪人才、上海市优秀学科带头人计划等项目资助。已发表论文60余篇，授权国家发明专利六项，受理五项。

Since1996,hehasassumedthefollowingpositions:DirectorofScienceandTechnologyOffice,DeanofSchoolofResourceandEnvironmentEngineering,withtheconcurrentpostasstandingtrusteeofShanghaiSocietyofChemistryandChemicalIndustry,standingtrusteeofShanghaiEnergyResearchSociety,trusteeofShanghaiSocietyofEnvironmentScience.
ProfessorYuismainlyengagedresearchanddevelopmentinthefieldofresourceandenvironment.Hehastakenonsomenationalkeyscienceandtechnologyprojectsfrom“EighthFive-YearPlan”and“NinthFive-YearPlan”to“TenthFive-YearPlan”,heachievedtheScienceandTechnologyProgressFristclassAwardsofShanghaiScienceandTechnologyProgressin2001byShanghaiMunicipality.Hewaschosentobeascholarinthe“Shuguang(Dawn)Program”supportedbyShanghaiEducationCommitteeandEducationFoundation,“Trans-CenturyTrainingProgramFoundationfortheTalents”bytheStateEducationCommission,and“ProgramofShanghaiSubjectChiefScientist”byShanghaiMunicipality.Inrecentyears,Hehavepublishedover60papersinacademicperiodicalsandissuedsixChinapatents.
