The College of Preschool and Special Education is located in Tian Jia-Bing Building along the beautiful Li Wa River in ECNU campus. This college consists of Departments of Preschool Education, Special Education, Art Education, ECE Diploma Program and In-service Teacher Training Program, together with the Research Centers of Preschool Education, Special Education and Psychological Measurement. There is a broad curriculum offering programs from undergraduate on Preschool Education, Special Education, Art Education, Psycho-counseling, Speech and Hearing Sciences, through taught postgraduate to doctoral level study. Among the78 full-time faculty members, the number of professors, associate professors and lecturers is 10, 23 and 45 respectively, providing high quality education to 1013 full-time students. In recent years, the college has set up several research laboratories and carried out a number of research projects at both provincial and national levels. This college has also established the relationships into international exchanges and collaborations with world universities, including institutions in the U.S., Britain, Germany, Australia, Canada, Singapore and Japan.
　 　
华东师范大学学前教育与特殊学院设有学前教育学系、特殊教育学系、艺术教育部、基础教育部、培训部以及学前教育研究所、特殊教育研究所、儿童发展与教育研究中心、心理测量中心、ESEC儿童语言研究中心等教学科研机构。学院开设学前教育、特殊教育、儿童艺术教育、学校心理咨询与辅导、言语听觉科学等本科专业，同时还设有博士和硕士学位点。学院现有专职教师78人，其中正教授10人、副教授23人、讲师45人。有全日制学生1013人。近年来，学院承担了多项国家级、省部级科研课题，编写、出版了一系列学术专著和重点教材，建立了多处教学科研实验基地。学院的学前教育学与特殊教育学专业成为上海市重点学科和华东师范大学特色学科，儿童发展中心获得首批华东师范大学繁荣计划资助成为文科教学研究基地。与此同时，学院还与美国、英国、德国、加拿大、新加坡、日本及港、澳、台地区的专家学者和有关教学与科研机构建立了广泛的学术交流和工作联系。
